Mr Abbott t asked the Minister for Commerce and Agriculture, upon notice -

1.   Will he ascertain from the Australian Wheat Board and inform the House what sales of wheat were made for export during the period 15th November, 1945, to the 15th January, 1946, and at what price a bushel on- a bulk and bagged basis?

2.   What was the average export price a bushel for these sales?

Mr Scully - The answers to the honorable member's questions are as follows : -

1.   Sales were - Rhodesia, 373,000 bushels at 9s. S-kl. bagged; Ministry of Food, 1,807,000 bushels at 9s. 5|d. bulk; New Zealand, 4,500,000 bushels at 9s. (id. bulk.

2.   The average export price for these sales was 9s. 11 1/4 d. bagged basis.
