Mr RANKIN (BENDIGO, VICTORIA) - Has the Prime Minister read the statement of the treasurer of the Sydney branch of the Waterside Workers Federation, Mr. S. Moran, that union officials were satisfied with the manner in which the Prime Minister had told the Dutch authorities in Australia that they should not interfere with the internal life of the country? Is this the Mr.Stan Moran who has been a prominent member of the Communist party since 1932, and, if so, does the right honorable gentleman intend to take any action to dissociate himself from his Communist supporter ?

Mr CHIFLEY - I have not read the statement to which the honorable gentleman has referred. I do not know the gentleman in question, and I do not propose to take any notice of what he says or does.
