Mr RYAN (FLINDERS, VICTORIA) - I ask the Prime Minister whether the attitude of the Government towards waterside workers, regarding Dutch ships lying in Australian ports is to be accepted as its definite and final decision? This dispute is affecting relations between Australia and the Dutch. What steps does the Government propose to take to restore to the Dutch authorities use of the Dutch vessels which have been in Australian ports for nearly nine months? In addition, what steps does the Prime Minister propose to take to ensure that repairs to the Dutch destroyer Piet Mein are carried out within a reasonable time? *
