Mr WHITE - Is the Minister representing the Minister for Trade and Customs aware that scrap metal, such as tin, lead and zinc, are being exported from. Australia to foreign countries and sold at prices higher than the fixed prices for new metals in Australia, which cannot be exported ? Will the honorable gentleman investigate the position, and, if necessary, take steps to adjust prices, or to prohibit the export of scrap metal, and thus obviate unemployment in the refining industry in Australia?
