Mr JOLLY (Lilley) .- The House should take note that this bill introduces a new principle in respect of State income tax and State development tax, in that those taxes are no longer an allowable deduction, whereas federal income tax is. I am at a loss to know why the Treasurer has done this. The disallowance of this deduction will seriously affect those on higher incomes, and will place some taxpayers in an embarrassing position.
