Mr BRENNAN (BATMAN, VICTORIA) - Some little time ago I addressed to the Minister for Works and Railways about the longest letter I have ever written in my life, respecting the claims of certain naval staff officers to compensation under the Defence Retirements Act. As he seems to have survived the perusal of that letter, I would like to know whether he can tell me what has been done with regard to the claim, and whether I may expect an answer to my letter before the House rises?
