Mr WATKINS (Newcastle) .- I support the appeal for additional time to consider the Bill in Committee. In the interests of all parties an extension should be granted. There was no attempt at " stone-walling " during the second reading debate, and the time allowed was so restricted that a number of honorable members, although anxious, were unable to speak to the question. The time fixed for the consideration of the Bill in Committee will not afford an opportunity for its reasonable discussion clause by clause, to say nothing of the amendments of which notice has been given. I therefore urge the Prime Minister to grant the request that has been made.
