    17   DISCUSSION OF MATTER OF PUBLIC IMPORTANCE— carbon tax

The House was informed that Mr Hunt had proposed that a definite matter of public importance be submitted to the House for discussion, namely, “The Government’s failure to adequately explain its carbon tax”.

The proposed discussion having received the necessary support—

Mr Hunt addressed the House.

At 4.03 p.m. the Member for Indi (Mrs Mirabella) was directed, under standing order 94, to leave the Chamber for one hour for disorderly behaviour, and she accordingly left the Chamber.
