      9   CLIMATE CHANGE AND A CARBON PRICE—REPORT FROM MAIN COMMITTEE

The Speaker reported that the order of the day relating to the private Member’s motion on climate change and a carbon price had been debated in the Main Committee and returned to the House, and presented a certified copy of the motion viz.: Mr S. P. Jones—That this House:

(1)    notes that climate change is a serious economic and environmental challenge; and

(2)    acknowledges a carbon price is the cheapest and fairest way to cut pollution and drive investment in clean energy.
