Messages from the House of Representatives were reported transmitting for the concurrence of the Senate the following bills:

 Message no. 340, dated 8 February 2012—A Bill for an Act to establish the Telecommunications Universal Service Management Agency, and for other purposes.

 Message no. 341, dated 8 February 2012—A Bill for an Act to amend legislation relating to telecommunications, and for other purposes.

 Message no. 342, dated 8 February 2012—A Bill for an Act to impose a levy to support the provision of public interest telecommunications services, and for related purposes.

The Parliamentary Secretary to the Prime Minister (Senator Lundy) moved—That these bills may proceed without formalities, may be taken together and be now read a first time.

Question put and passed.

Senator Lundy moved—That these bills be now read a second time.
