WAR CRIMES AMENDMENT BILL 1999
CUSTOMS (TARIFF CONCESSION SYSTEM VALIDATIONS) BILL 1999

The Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Communications, Information Technology and the Arts (Senator Ian Campbell), pursuant to notice, moved—That the following bills be introduced:

 A Bill for an Act to amend the War Crimes Act 1945.

 A Bill for an Act to validate certain decisions made, and acts and things done, under Part XVA of the Customs Act 1901.

Question put and passed.

Senator Ian Campbell presented the bills and moved—That these bills may proceed without formalities, may be taken together and be now read a first time.

Senator Ian Campbell moved—That these bills be now read a second time.
