Senator CONROY (Minister for Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy and Minister Assisting the Prime Minister on Digital Productivity) (7:31 PM) —These amendments will provide greater certainty for industry with respect to the operation of the authorisation relating to uniform national pricing. The provision as amended will continue to provide NBN Co. with the necessary authorisations for it to provide uniform national wholesale pricing for the benefit of regional and rural Australians. The government supports these amendments.


The TEMPORARY CHAIRMAN (Senator Crossin)—The question is that Senator Xenophon’s amendments (1) to (4) on sheet 7064 moved to government amendment (2), as amended,  be agreed to.
