Senator O’BRIEN (3:46 PM)
—I present the third report of 2009 of the Senate Standing Committee on the Selection of Bills. In moving that the report be adopted, I advise the Senate that although there was circulated to at least some of us a proposed amendment, to be moved by Senator Xenophon, to the Selection of Bills Committee report, I have had discussions with Senator Xenophon and notwithstanding the report today I have undertaken that we will facilitate the reconsideration of the Australian Business Investment Partnership Bill 2009 and the Australian Business Investment Partnership (Consequential Amendment) Bill 2009 at the meeting of the Selection of Bills Committee which has been scheduled for 1 pm tomorrow.
Ordered that the report be adopted.
Senator O’BRIEN
—I seek leave to have the report incorporated in Hansard.
Leave granted.
The report read as follows—
