Senator XENOPHON (4:44 PM) —I thank Senator Brandis for his answer. I am legally trained but I do not profess to have Senator Brandis’s skills. It has been about 10 years since I have done any practice as a personal injuries lawyer. Senator Ludwig, in terms of the point made by Senator Brandis that in a substantive sense the rights are not altered, is it more a question of terminology—that in a substantive sense the rights of the child are not in any way affected both in relation to the rights of the child and the rights of the persons in the relationship referred to in the context of this particular amendment?
