The ACTING DEPUTY PRESIDENT
(Senator Barnett)—I inform the Senate that this afternoon, accompanied by honourable senators, the President presented to the Governor-General the address-in-reply to Her Excellency’s predecessor’s speech, on the occasion of the opening of Parliament, which was agreed to on 15 September 2008. The Governor-General indicated that she would be pleased to convey the address-in-reply to Her Majesty the Queen.
