Senator WONG (Minister for Climate Change and Water) (1:09 PM) —I think this issue of duress has been the subject of some discussion and there are, I am advised, existing provisions in the act which enable remedies to be sought for alleged duress. I would also point out the second part of what I read out, which does enable, post the nominal expiry date, one party—that is, in the example you are raising, an employee—to provide 90 days notice to the other party after the nominal expiry date in order for the agreement to be terminated. So there are two termination routes which are envisaged by our policy and, I am advised, are picked up in the various provisions in the legislation.
