Senator McLUCAS (10:31 AM) —I am happy to do that. I thank the government for their support at least of subclause (2). I still think that, with this brave new world of private health that we are entering and the fact that the legislation is designed to innovate, we have to have protections into the future over arrangements that will be made with those other than hospitals. But I do take the minister’s comment about the ability for insurers to limit access to ancillary types of services. I am pleased to hear that the minister will be watching, because there will be change in the way products are developed and we do need to be watching closely as to how that will play out in the future.

The TEMPORARY CHAIRMAN —The question is that subclauses (1) and (2) of the amendment be agreed to.

Question agreed to.
