Senator O’Brien
asked the Minister representing the Minister for Transport and Regional Services, upon notice, on 22 December 2004:
(1) What Commonwealth funds have been expended on the Bert Hinkler Hall of Aviation Museum in Bundaberg, Queensland.
(2) (a) For what purposes have those funds been expended; and (b) by financial year, from which programs have those funds been sourced.
Senator Ian Campbell (Minister for the Environment and Heritage)
—The Minister for Transport and Regional Services has provided the following answer to the honourable senator’s question:
(1) To date $50,000 has been expended by the Department of Transport and Regional Services on the Bert Hinkler Hall Aviation Museum.
(2) (a) Planning component to support the construction of the Bert Hinkler Hall of Aviation Museum (b) 2002-2003, funded through a Specific Purpose Payment.
