Senator HILL (Minister for Defence) (9:00 PM) —We are unsure. This is a verification process. It is not like the police conducting raids or the like. I would be confident to say that certainly in normal circumstances it would be during business hours but I would be hesitant to say that there would be no circumstance in which an officer might be authorised to conduct an inspection outside normal business hours. If it is important, Senator Harris, we can inquire of Customs as to their practice in this regard and report at some later time during the debate, but I am reasonably confident that what I have said is the case.
