Senator NETTLE (10:56 AM) —The minister has said that he believes the matter is outlined enough in the legislation for the court to take public interest into consideration. But the minister has also said quite clearly that he believes where there is public interest then the information should be able to be revealed. Perhaps we can deal with this when we get to the next Greens amendment, which is about stipulating in the legislation, making it clear, putting it beyond doubt, that the public interest needs to be protected. But perhaps we will leave that until we get to the next amendment.

Question put:

That the amendments (Senator Nettle's) be agreed to.
