Senator COONAN (Minister for Revenue and Assistant Treasurer) (1:53 PM) —I have already made my comments on these amendments. I accept Labor's contention that there was an intention to circulate them earlier. In fact, they did not get to me until, as I said, I was on my feet. In not supporting these amendments at this stage, I in no way intend to send a message or provide comfort to tobacco companies. It is a matter that the government will give serious consideration to.
