Senator KEMP (Minister for the Arts and Sport) (6:12 PM) —We will oppose these amendments for reasons that I set out in relation to Democrat amendment (6). I am interested in the way that these amendments have been divided up. It seems to me that the grouping of them could have been done in a way that was a bit different and that may well have shortened the debate. We seem to be discussing the same things time and time again. I do not propose to delay the Senate but I just make that point. We will obviously proceed with the bill now, but it does seem to me an odd way to have divided it up.

Question negatived.
