Senator NETTLE (7:43 PM) —I have a question for the minister in relation to government amendment (5) on sheet RA241. My question relates to a person not being able to be detained for a continuous period of more than 168 hours. While they can be re-arrested after that, in relation to that continuous 168 hours, the minister said one thing and Senator Faulkner, the opposition spokesman, said another in terms of whether that relates to one warrant or several warrants. Is it one warrant for the 168 hours or can a number of warrants constitute that continuous 168 hours?
