Senator MACKAY (11:57 AM) —The idea of reviewing legislation always has merit—and the Labor Party would always be involved in the reviewing of legislation—but we are opposing this legislation and therefore, axiomatically, we are opposing the review of the legislation. We are in a position to review the bill right now, and our review is that this is a bill that will lead to a massive reduction of media diversity in Australia. We do not support the bill and we do not support the amendment.
