Senator MURRAY (10:12 PM) —I move Democrat amendment (2) on sheet 2890:

(iii) given to the person under an agreement made prior to 30 June 2003 and between the company and the person before the person became the holder of the office as the consideration, or part of the consideration, for the person agreeing to hold the office; or

This amendment adds the words `made prior to 30 June 2003' after the word `agreement'. The intention of this, of course, is to capture prior agreements because the miscreants, if you like, in this area have been evading disclosure by not disclosing prior agreements. This will, in the future, give shareholders a greater opportunity to vote on directors' retirement payments. I do not think I need to say more—it is easy on the face of it to make a consideration here.
