Senator Nettle asked the Minister representing the Minister for Trade, upon notice, on 17 September 2002:

With reference to Australian fossil fuels sector exports, can the following information be provided in relation to exports to countries in the Asia-Pacific region:

(1) What percentage of Australias total exports during the calendar years 1998 to 2002, related to the fossil fuels sector (ie. exports relating to coal, including clean coal, and co-generation and emission reduction projects, gas and oil), including those projects defined as multisector or crosscutting.

(2) What percentage of Australias energy exports during the calendar years 1998 to 2002, related to the fossil fuels sector (ie. exports relating to coal, including clean coal, and co-generation and emission reduction projects, gas and oil), including those projects defined as multisector or crosscutting.
