Senator GREIG (12:15 PM) —I do not think of it as gay rights; I think of it as human rights. To that end, Mr Edward Young, as you may know, has actually taken his case of discrimination to the United Nations Human Rights Committee. Of course the finding of that committee is not binding on the government, but is it the government's intention to persist with this exclusionary definition to the social and financial detriment of gay and lesbian citizens and taxpayers? I wonder whether you are aware of any alternative policy.
