Senator ALSTON (Minister for Communications, Information Technology and the Arts) (10:08 PM) —It is really the compulsion that I think concerns the government. It is one thing to say that information is readily available in the green guide or elsewhere and you are able to accumulate that for your own purposes; it is another to say that because one of the national broadcasters might choose to provide information to a datacaster that then has a knock-on obligation on other commercial networks to provide information to datacasters.
