Senator CARR (5:27 PM)
—Minister, is it the case that, under this act, these companies do not require independent audits of their accounts—that is, independent of the companies themselves? Or is it the case that there is no government audit of the accounts of these companies? Is it the case that, under the operations of the international division at the moment, the government relies upon the advice of auditors provided by the companies themselves?
