Senator ELLISON (Special Minister of State) (5:28 PM) —As I understand it, the company does choose the auditor but the auditor has to be independent. Auditors, of course, are not necessarily in the business of being bought and sold.

Senator Carr —You are very brave.

Senator ELLISON —Senator Carr, it is an office which is a professional one. I think we are entitled to assume that auditors, just like lawyers and doctors and others, are professionals.
