Senator ELLISON (Special Minister of State) (11:38 AM) —I will answer that question first because we need to be absolutely certain that, wherever the word `chairman' appears in this bill, if it is to be amended in this way, `chair' replaces that word. In other words, does this amendment cover every instance in the bill where the word `chairman' is used? My advice is that if that is not done, then you could have unintended consequences. I would ask the Democrats to ensure that they have done that. The government do not oppose this, but we just want to make absolutely sure that we have included every reference to chairman.
