Senator LEES (8:04 PM) —This is quite an essential amendment and one that we will be supporting. I would say to Senator Evans that this is one of the reasons we could not support the earlier amendment where he was trying basically to go back through records that may or may not exist. That was made doubly difficult by the fact that these records have not been kept in the past, and so it is essential that we keep these records, because either party could be disadvantaged if the family membership is not kept up. It is also important that people be notified when that happens, and so we will be supporting this amendment.
