To the Honourable the President and Members of the Senate in the Parliament assembled.

The petition of certain residents of Sydney draws the attention of the House to the fact that an additional airport in the Sydney airshed will greatly increase air, noise and water pollution causing an increase in health problems and compromising children's educational standards. Your petitioners therefore ask the Senate not to pass any bill which would lead to the construction of a second Sydney airport at Badgerys Creek.
