Senator MARGETTS (5:52 PM) —Very briefly, I do recognise that the government has come a substantial way in response to community concern. It took a number of people to do quite a lot of work in relation to that, and I would like to say that that movement was appreciated. It was obviously a very useful thing to get people together in relation to the committee process. This is one of those instances where the committee process did actually result in a better procedure and in improved legislation—to the point where it is far from perfect but it scrapes over the line as far as the Greens (WA) are concerned.

Question resolved in the affirmative.
