Senator BROWN (3:01 PM) —Pursuant to standing order 74(5), I ask the Minister for the Environment and the Minister representing the Prime Minister, Senator Hill, for an explanation as to why answers have not been provided to questions on notice Nos 1192, 1193 and 1203, which I asked on 13, 14 and 29 May respectively. I will move:

That there be laid on the table by the Minister for the Environment (Senator Hill), by no later than 3 July 1998, the answers to questions on notice Nos 1192, 1993 and 1203.

The PRESIDENT —You cannot move that. You may ask the Minister for the Environment, Senator Hill, why certain questions have not been answered, and you should at least listen to his answer first.

Senator Hill —The answer is that I do not know but I will find out.
