That the Senate—
(a) notes that the World Heritage Bureau has asked that mining operations be stopped on the Jabiluka lease until after the bureau has investigated and assessed the effect of these operations on the World Heritage area of Kakadu; and
(b) calls on the Minister for Resources and Energy (Senator Parer) and the Minister for the Environment (Senator Hill) to immediately call for a halt to mining operations.
