—The opposition
amendment would apply to listed companies. If the government is going to get stuck with this, we would prefer to support your amendment. The Democrat amendment, I think, applies to all companies. Would you be withdrawing your amendment? We would oppose both but in the end, obviously, when the bill goes back to the House of Representatives we will have to make up our mind as to what we can live with and what we cannot. On behalf of the government, I assure you that we would be a lot more comfortable with opposition amendment No. 2. I will vote against the Democrat amendment regardless, but we would be more comfortable with opposition amendment No. 2 than the one that Senator Murray is proposing.
