(d) OFFICE OF GOVERNMENT INFORMATION AND ADVERTISING (OGIA)

A quantitative mid-term assessment of client satisfaction in relation to aspects of the service provided by TMP Worldwide Advertising for non campaign advertising.

409 of TMP's Commonwealth Government clients were interviewed by telephone. The sample was representative across States, Portfolios and client size (based on frequency of use). Research was commissioned for contract administration purposes only. Outside OGIA, results of the research was made available to TMP.

August 1997—quantitative research was conducted to provide benchmark information on awareness of the float, attitudes to the offer, awareness of advertising. From August to November 1997 continuous tracking research was conducted on changes in the retail market against the benchmark to assess the impact of advertising and to further refine key demand estimates. The results were presented over 9 waves from August to November 1997. The sample size was 460 per wave. As part of the tracking research, additional quantitative research was conducted in September and October 1997 on pre registration (two waves of 300 each), high value investors (one wave of 600) and applicants' awareness of various features of the Telstra Share Offer (one wave of 300).

Commonwealth Department of Administrative Services (DAS): Business Units

May 1997—qualitative and quantitative research as part of the sale process for DAS business units. The purpose of the research was to generate information on the level of interest within each business unit in working for a new owner. A report on the results was prepared for each business and these were made available to prospective purchasers. Reports were provided to the Office of Asset Sales, its business and legal advisers, and senior management in the former DAS. A summary of the results was provided to the staff in each business.

Survey of client satisfaction with ComSuper's services over a 12 month period

This survey is current. Single quantitative and qualitative survey consisting of a set of questionnaires to be issued to ComSuper's three principal client groups, contributors, preserved benefit members and pensioners, and a single questionnaire to employers, in the course of the 1997-98 financial year. Survey results will, in the first instance, be used by ComSuper management as a means of further improving service delivery. Results will be made available to the CSS, PSS and MSBS Boards of Trustees.
