Senator MARGETTS(10.54 a.m.) —I support what Senator Woodley has said. The benefit of the Greens (WA)-Democrat amendment over the proposed amendments by the Labor Party is that theirs probably assumes that they have managed to remove the section on water and airspace. Of course, that was unsuccessful. I ask that that now be included in the ALP's consideration. It is not unreasonable, considering that those sections have not now been removed from the bill, that heritage protection be extended to those areas which have not been successfully removed by means of amendment. With all of the other rights that have been crunched and stomped on so far, the very least we can allow is that special places for Aboriginal Australians have the means to be protected. That is the very least that we should do.
