Senator ELLISON (Minister for Schools, Vocational Education and Training)
—My advice is that the group training scheme is the largest employer of apprentices. So, when you say it is small, I fail to see how you can say that it is a very small proportion.
Senator CARR
—It is a small proportion of the total training provided under the VET scheme. The group training companies do not provide a majority of training currently undertaken. I ask the minister: is it also the case that the government has actually reduced assistance to individual apprentices and employees under the CRAFT scheme?
