—I give notice that, on the next day of sitting, I shall move:
That there be laid on the table, no later than 12 pm on 22 October 1997, the following documents:
(a) all scientific or inspection reports produced by or for officers of the Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service (AQIS) relating to the applications from overseas poultry producers for the lifting of Australian import bans on cooked chicken, including results of all tests conducted at the Weybridge laboratory by Dr Dennis Alexander on infectious bursal disease and the latest test at Weybridge when it becomes available;
(b) all written communications and records of conversations between industry representatives who accompanied AQIS staff on inspection visits to countries with applica tions to import cooked chicken to Australia and:
(i) AQIS staff,
(ii) staff of the Department of Primary Industries and Energy, and
(iii) staff of the Minister for Primary Industries and Energy; and
(c) all correspondence between officials or individuals representing countries proposing to import cooked chicken meat to Australia and officials of the Australian Government.
