Senator CAMPBELL (Parliamentary Secretary to the Treasurer)(5.51 p.m.)
—We will not be supporting the amendment. We do not disagree with the concept of ecologically sustainable development, but we think those sorts of concepts and living standards—matters that Senator
Murray raised; matters that are important to the coalition—should not need to be put into this section of the bill. They are matters that are quite properly, appropriately and very importantly handled in guidelines. I think we should look at those issues when we get to that stage of the debate on the bill.
