Senator PARER (Minister for Resources and Energy)(2.48 p.m.)
—by leave—Can I just make a very brief statement? I want to make the point that the government supports the Senate not approving the amendment, but I understand that the numbers are there and in view of the time factors involved we will not divide. I just want to put the government's position on the table.
The TEMPORARY CHAIRMAN
—The question now is that amendments 6 and 7 not be insisted upon.
Question put:
That the committee does not insist upon amendments Nos. 6 and 7.
