Senator HARRADINE(11.46 a.m.) —I am supporting the suspension of standing orders because I thought that it was pretty well understood around the chamber yesterday that this matter would be able to come on today. I had expected it to be able to come on in the debate on notices of motion but, because of the standing orders, that was not done. I expected at that stage that there would have been a request for it to be moved then.

Senator Bob Collins —It would have been a lot easier to have just given leave. It would have saved a lot of time.

Senator HARRADINE —Anyhow, I just indicate that I am supporting the motion.
