Senator FAULKNER (Leader of the Opposition in the Senate) —I give notice that, on the next day of sitting, I shall move:

That the Senate—

(a)   recalls that, on 5 March 1997, the Leader of the Opposition in the Senate (Senator Faulkner) moved that, in accordance with subsection 6(1) of the Parliamentary Contributory Superannuation Act 1948 , Senator Colston be removed from the Parliamentary Retiring Allowances Trust;

(b)   notes that the Government voted against this motion, with the result that the motion was defeated; and

(c)   resolves that Senator Colston now be removed from the trust.
