Senator VANSTONE (Minister for Employment, Education, Training and Youth Affairs)(6.19 p.m.) —I apologise, Senator Stott Despoja, that I was not able, because I was otherwise occupied, to be here for, or listen to, the speech you gave during the second reading debate. As I am advised, during the second reading debate you indicated that you would be supporting schedule 2 and did not make reference to agreed amendments to it. You simply said you would be supporting schedule 2. Is it the case that you now come in and say that you only said that because you thought there were some changes that were going to be made, or did you give that qualification in the second reading debate?
