—I move:
(1) That the standing orders be amended as set out in the attachment to the first report of 1996 of the Procedure Committee.
(2) That orders of the Senate concerning the broadcasting of Senate and committee proceedings be consolidated as set out in the attachment to the first report of 1996 of the Procedure Committee.
(3) That the standing orders as amended have effect on and from 24 February 1997.

—Government business notice of motion No. 2 is referred to on page 5 of the Order of business , the Senate red. No. 1 relates to amendments to the sessional orders. No. 2 relates to the incorporation of sessional orders into the standing orders pursuant to the first report of 1996 of the Procedure Committee. I understand this has been agreed to by the Manager of Opposition Business and other senators.
