Senator CAMPBELL (Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for the Environment and Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Sport, Territories and Local Government)(7.01 p.m.) —This is one of the matters that we want the commission to have concern about and, as I said earlier, not in a frivolous way. We are more concerned about the living standards of the low paid—that is why these provisions seek to protect them with a safety net—than we are about lawyers in the industrial field. We do not want that sort of litigation. It is just a matter that they need to have regard to when they are adjusting the safety net. It is as simple as that. It is not a matter that one would expect litigation on. We would prefer the low paid to do better out of this legislation than will industrial lawyers.
