Senator JACINTA COLLINS(6.46 p.m.) —I asked the parliamentary secretary several questions; I did not ask him what he had said. I asked him to clarify the issue through several quite clear questions which I have not actually asked earlier—following on from his earlier comments about the level of repetition. This is a fundamental point for women workers. And as I said, I am already surprised that the Democrats have allowed this issue to be an issue in this bill. I am astounded. Perhaps Senator Murray might be able to provide an explanation because I am certainly not getting one through the parliamentary secretary. Why have we forgone, with respect to awards, the principle of equal remuneration?
