Senator JACINTA COLLINS(6.40 p.m.) —If that is the interpretation that we are meant to apply to this, then why on earth don't the functions of the commission reflect the current principles on equal remuneration? Why are we referring simply to pay? Earlier you gave me the explanation that we are only saying pay because it pertains to awards and yet you have admitted that awards will, even within the allowable matters, include things other than pay. Why on earth are we not referring to equal remuneration?
